On Sunday, September 24, 2023 the Catholic Church celebrates the 109th World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR); the best way to prepare ourselves to live out the day is to continue our journey of reflection together, by being inspired by the Holy Father’s Message. The right not to emigrate, or rather the possibility of living in peace and with dignity in one’s homeland, today is not an internationally recognized right. To make this right concrete and real, a long process is necessary requiring the joint effort of individual nations and the international community. Let us, then, all focus on how we can help our migrant brothers and sisters in the meantime.
